Double hemisphere by Delamarche according to recent astronomical observations. It shows the Americas in the western hemisphere and Africa, Europe, Asia, and Australia, called New Holland, in the eastern hemisphere. The embellishment of this map is reserved for an elegant cartouche illustrated with allegorical figures bearing the title of the map, the titles of the hemispheres, and the publication information.

This map was published in Paris after 1817 by Félix Delamarche (1780-1835), son of Charles François Delamarche (1740-1817), who took over his father's business, at the address rue du Jardinet no. 13, across from rue de l'Éperon (the address printed on this copy of the map).
