Original Air France poster for the promotion of flights to South America. Created by the French naturalized Hungarian artist Victor Vasarely (1906-1997), it represents the arrival of a propeller plane in the bay of Rio de Janeiro against a background of the setting sun reflected on the ocean.

Vasarely is known to be the founder of the Op art movement (or optical art), which consists in playing with the optical illusion.
