Description
A very nice copy of Le Rouge's map of Prussia.
The map is decorated with a beautiful allegorical cartouche with the Arms of Frederick II of Prussia. It was made at the end of the first Silesian War (1740-1742). Frederick had occupied most of Silesia by 1741, and the Treaty of Breslau (1742) confirmed his conquests and restored peace.
The main towns are highlighted in red.
