2nd edition Jean-Antoine Nollet, known as Abbé Nollet (1700-1770), was professor of experimental physics at the College of Navarre and at the Artillery and Engineering Schools, and professor of physics at the Dauphin. He is the author of several works that have been reprinted many times.
