One of the most beautiful books on India. Relation of the journey from Calcutta to Delhi made in 1807 by Lieutenant-Colonel Forrest, stationed in Bengal (since 1802), along the Ganges and the Jumna, accompanied by forty men and two hundred servants. The very beautiful views that accompany the text represent the monuments, sites and villages visited: Moorshedabad, the Rajemahal mountains, Motee Girna, Colgong, Janguira, Benares, tombs, Lucknow, the palace of the king of Delhi, the Taj Mahal...
