Description

Map of North America by Frémin representing Texas as an independent state.

The map extends from the Arctic Ocean and Greenland in the north to part of South America in the south, thereby covering Canada, the United States with Texas as an independent state, Mexico and the Caribbean islands. Very detailed, the map is rich in indications of cities, seas, islands, rivers and lakes. Canada is named "Nouvelle Bretagne", Oregon has not yet been divided between Canada and the United States, and Alaska is represented as Russian America "Amérique Russe".

This map was published in Malt-Brun's Atlas Géographie moderne.
