Rare world-map by Félix Delamarche mounted on canvas.
It presents the two hemispheres, with the continents and the division at the colored edges.
The map shows the three voyages of Captain Cook between 1768 and 1780, as well as the Arctic explorations of Hearne (1771), Mackenzie (1789), and Captain Parry (1819 and 1820). The contours of Australia, then New Holland, are defined with a certain precision but the interior of the country was still largely unknown at the time the map was published.
